With your generous donation this Mother's Day, you can help more moms like Sidney get the basics that make all the difference.*
"Moms Helping Moms has been a complete blessing. When I came to the homeless shelter, I came with nothing. A backpack of clothes for each kid shoved into my car and that's it. There were no winter clothes, no coats, and I had nothing for my daughter, who I was pregnant with at the time. Moms Helping Moms gave us all the clothes we needed, and when Caroline arrived you gave her clothes, diapers, and wipes. Her first outfit she came home from the hospital in was from you.
I know it seems like small things, but when combined together, it's a big help especially financially. When my income is so limited as it is – it means that I don't have to worry where her diapers are coming from. It means that I don't have to worry about buying all of her outfits. I can only make minimum wage and I can only work so many hours – and because of rent and other expenses – the donations from Moms Helping Moms really helps me stretch my dollars and takes so much stress off of me.
Moms Helping Moms gave us books and toys – it was great to be able have them – it was like a birthday. In one donation bag, Michael – my toddler - got an Elmo doll that he still sleeps with now. It makes a big difference for kids who are going through unhappy times to have a little bit for themselves that their parents wouldn't otherwise be able to afford."
